I'm probably not typical for my age or certainly the region in which I live, by accident (The South), because I've already told my students that, while I and others are here to guide them and try to answer their questions, that their personal relationships with God, and how they work that out, is up to them. I refuse to be part of the massive, heavy indoctrination of the young that I see going on in almost every single church in this city. I would like to be part of something that helps the children in my church (Presbyterian) understand and develop their own understanding of and relationship with God. It is intensely personal and should be treated with respect.

I understand the reasoning behind the ruling but my heart does not agree. Ordinarily I'm a somewhat liberal person, and I certainly do not support the use of the death penalty indiscriminately, but ... I just don't see the point in keeping molesters and rapists of children around. They don't have a good track record as far as rehabilitation (impossible, apparently) and I can't think of any crime more heinous - in the true and correct and proper use of that word. If someone raped my child, I can assure you I would be imprisoned, because I would hunt down and kill that person.
