From the page: "Even her sons Hassan, 23, and Haydar, 21, whom she claimed aided their father in their sister's killing, disowned her. Meanwhile, her husband, a former government employee, escaped any charges, and even told The Observer that police had congratulated him on what he had done."
Yes, everyone should be proud of a man who would strangle, stab, and suffocate his daughter, aided by his sons. His wife should be the one being honored for her actions; his are those of a coward. I feel nothing but contempt for a society that condones this brutal treatment of women. But I still don't agree with King George's war.

From the page: ""A lot of men have no idea that women don't like being talked to in this way," she says. "It never crosses their mind, and yelling doesn't educate them. If you yell, they often don't understand why you are upset and so they take it personally."
Often, Kearl says, an assertive, clear response can illicit a kinder reaction than one expects.
"A lot of the time, I find guys will just say, 'Oh, okay, I didn't realize it made you feel that way. Thanks'."
Oh, so they take being told off personally, but don't 'get' that making suggestive remarks to women known or unknown to them might just possibly be offensive?! Hmmm. I guess these are the same guys who think that NO means "Yes, please rape me."
